In the next few years, premium and mid-range labels, including a Frankfurt opening, aim to capture growing travel demand.

Indian Hotels will open the 1952-built Hessischer Hof in Frankfurt within 10 months, marking its first foray into Europe.

Backed by Tata Group, Indian Hotels focuses on the Indian subcontinent, expanding the Taj brand selectively in key international markets.

Demand for luxury hotels surged as affluent Indians splurge on experiences, boosting Indian Hotels’ net income to 5.55 billion rupees, driving stock to an all-time high.

India Weddings 

Mumbai-based Indian Hotels is banking on Indian weddings, with 5 million expected in November-December, driving 25% of Taj’s revenue.

Indian Hotels shares have surged 66% in 2024, outpacing the S&P BSE Sensex, which rose nearly 10%.

The firm operates hotels under premium Taj and lower-tier labels like Vivanta and Ginger, and runs an air catering service for airlines including Singapore Airlines, Air India, Delta, and Qantas.

“The hotel sector is very well-positioned,” said Chhatwal. “The best is yet to come.”
