In Mirpur, only opener Mahmudul Hasan Joy managed to score 30 runs, as four out of Bangladesh’s top six batsmen fell short of reaching double figures.

On the debut day of the opening Test, Bangladesh’s batting lineup crumbled, managing a mere 106 runs all out in 40.1 overs, enabling Kagiso Rabada, the rapid South African bowler, to secure his 300th Test wicket on Monday, October 21, 2024.

In Mirpur, only Mahmudul Hasan Joy managed to score 30 runs among the top six Bangladeshi batsmen, as the remaining four failed to reach double digits.
