Ashneer Grover Reflects on Risky Brand Deal with Salman Khan, Discusses Bigg Boss 18
Ashneer Grover explains, “Perhaps the podcast didn’t convey the intended message accurately.” Pointing out Ashneer’s inconsistency, Salman remarks, “However, the current situation appears to be fair and balanced.
During a visit to Lovely Professional University, Ashneer Grover reminisced about the time he enlisted Salman Khan as a brand ambassador. He mentioned, “I had a small company and needed to quickly build trust. So, I decided to bring Salman Khan on board. When I reached out to Salman’s team, they mentioned a requirement of ₹7.5 crores. Doing the math, out of my ₹100 crores, I’d allocate ₹7.5 crores to him, another ₹1-2 crores for ad production, and additional expenses to air it on TV.
With a seemingly risky ₹20 crore investment and a comfortable ₹100 crore reserve, uncertainty loomed over the possibility of securing further funding. Despite the ambiguity, the entrepreneur decided to take the leap of faith. Consolidating his negotiation skills, he managed to convince Salman Khan to reduce his usual fee to ₹4.5 crore, a significant drop from the initial asking price. The encounter even led to a humorous exchange with Khan’s manager questioning the entrepreneur’s bargaining prowess, to which he candidly responded that he genuinely lacked the financial means to pay more.
Coming back to Bigg Boss 18, the show airs on Colors TV.
