The Kuno Wildlife Sanctuary has 24 cheetahs, including 12 cute cubs, as reported by an official. Veera, a cheetah about to turn five and hailing from South Africa, stands out as the center of attention among these fascinating animals.
Veera, who had been wandering in the regions of Jaura, Pahargarh, and Kailaras in Morena, was finally rescued in April. While on the loose, she managed to hunt a Nilgai and attack a few goats.
Officials have reported the birth of 12 cheetah cubs on Indian territory within the past two years at KNP. Unfortunately, the project has faced challenges, resulting in the loss of eight adult cheetahs and five cubs during that time.
Currently, all living cheetahs are contained within enclosures. Officials have announced that the cheetahs will gradually be reintroduced into the wild, with the process commencing by the end of October.
