Following a skirmish between Indian Army soldiers and terrorists in Baramulla, which resulted in four casualties, extensive search operations have been initiated. A large-scale search operation is currently underway along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Gulmarg sector subsequent to a recent terror incident in the region that claimed the lives of four individuals, including two soldiers.

The search efforts persisted into the morning of Friday, October 25, 2024, in Baramulla, subsequent to the clash between the Indian Army and militants the previous night on Thursday, October 24, 2024.

Indian Army officials reported that a military vehicle was targeted by terrorists in Baramulla, resulting in the tragic loss of two soldiers and two civilian porters. Additionally, one soldier and one porter sustained injuries and are currently receiving medical care.

The Srinagar-based Chinar Corps reported in an initial statement on X that a short confrontation occurred involving the Indian Army and terrorists near Butapathri, Baramulla. This exchange resulted in injuries to two soldiers and two porters, who have been promptly evacuated for medical treatment.

The Chinar Corps provided an update stating that two soldiers and two porters sustained injuries during the firefight and have been evacuated for medical treatment. The operation is currently ongoing.

Another event unfolded on October 24, 2024, when terrorists opened fire, causing injuries to a laborer in the Batgund Tral region of Pulwama district. The victim, identified as Pritam Singh from Uttar Pradesh, was the target of the attack.

On Sunday, October 20, 2024, tragedy struck as terrorists launched an attack on a tunnel construction site along the Srinagar-Leh national highway in Ganderbal district, resulting in the deaths of a doctor and six construction workers.

Gulmarg terror attack: Forces launch combing operation along LoC

Officials reported that on Friday, October 25, 2024, security forces initiated an extensive search mission along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Gulmarg sector of Jammu and Kashmir. This action ensued after a terrorist attack occurred in the region, resulting in the tragic deaths of four individuals, including two soldiers.

Security forces have initiated a combing and search mission along the Line of Control (LoC) and the vicinity of the attack location. They have cordoned off the areas surrounding the attack site to secure them.

The search operation to track down and eliminate the perpetrators of the attack is being supported by a combination of human and technical intelligence inputs, according to officials.

The operation is being supervised by senior police and Army officials.
