Simmons Urges Biden to Resign, Make Kamala Harris President for Transition

Jamal Simmons, former VP communications director, called on President Biden to resign and make Kamala Harris the 47th President, fulfilling his promise to be a transitional leader. Simmons argued this move would allow Harris to avoid overseeing the January 6 transition and help shift the Democratic narrative toward greater transparency. He also emphasized that it would pave the way for future women leaders.

“Joe Biden’s been a phenomenal president, he’s lived up to so many of the promises he’s made. There’s one promise left that he could fulfil, being a transitional figure.

Jamal Simmons suggested Biden resign within 30 days to make Kamala Harris the President of the United States.

“It would absolve her from having to oversee the January 6 transition of her own defeat.

Simmons argued Biden should resign to shift the Democratic narrative, improve transparency, and meet public expectations.

“This is something within Joe Biden‘s control.

Simmons suggested Biden’s resignation would fulfill his promise, elevate Kamala Harris to president, and ease future women candidates’ paths.

Harris, 60, lost the November 5 general election to President-elect Donald Trump.
