Renowned actor Ron Ely, a native of Tenax, known for his iconic portrayal of the legendary Tarzan in the initial television series, has sadly departed at the age of 86. His daughter, Kirsten Ely, shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram, accompanied by a poignant message. The New York Times reported that Ron Ely passed away on September 29 at one of his daughter’s residences in the vicinity of Santa Barbara. Nevertheless, the circumstances surrounding his demise remain undisclosed.

Kirsten commemorated her father on Wednesday by posting a collection of photos capturing moments from his childhood to the present day. In a poignant caption, she expressed, “The world has bid farewell to one of its most remarkable individuals, and I have bid farewell to my father.

Kirsten lovingly referred to her father as a “hero,” emphasizing his multifaceted nature as an “actor, writer, coach, mentor, family man, and leader” who left a profound impact on countless lives. Despite how the world perceived him, she cherished him simply as a “dad” and a divine “gift.” Describing him as the center of her universe, Kirsten highlighted the remarkable world he had created for her. She painted a portrait of him as a stalwart and caring figure, possessing a blend of intelligence and humor, strength and sensitivity, dynamism and authority. To her, he was not just a guiding light and a source of motivation, but also a figure of humility who commanded the respect he rightfully earned.

Kirsten expressed her emotions, saying, “My solace lies in the knowledge that my father is now reunited with my mother and brother. Yet, this reality also brings me immense sorrow as their absence is deeply ingrained in my very being.
