In Lucknow, a viral video captures a woman confronting an e-rickshaw driver with great intensity.

Online attention has been captured by a viral video featuring a tense exchange between an e-rickshaw driver and a woman on a bustling street in Lucknow. The incident, believed to have been triggered by a dispute over payment, unfolded in the Aminabad locality, attracting the interest of onlookers.

The video captures a woman confronting an e-rickshaw driver in a confrontational manner. She seizes him by the neck as another woman, attired in a saree, steps in to mediate and halt the altercation. The driver, clearly trying to protect himself, endeavours to push the woman away to avert her attacks. Subsequently, the second woman places her bag on the ground and persistently tries to diffuse the conflict. Meanwhile, the first woman escalates the situation by taking off one of her slippers which she then wields to strike the driver. The intervening woman can be heard imploring the other party to cease the altercation.

The e-rickshaw driver in the video eventually spots someone capturing the scene and encourages them, “Feel free to shoot the video.” When the woman persists in berating him, he challenges, “Go ahead, hit me now.” Indignantly, she questions, “Are you hurling abuses at me?” The video concludes with the driver urging bystanders to contact the authorities.

Journalist Himanshu Tyagi’s video, which was posted on X, drew the Lucknow Police’s interest. In response, the police, via their official account, mentioned, “Both individuals are currently at Aminabad police station, and appropriate measures are being implemented.

Ever since the video made its way onto the internet, it has incited a deluge of responses from users on social media, with a wide array of opinions populating the comments section.

A comment from a user highlighted the rude behavior exhibited by E-rickshaw drivers towards passengers in Lucknow. Furthermore, the user pointed out that upon noticing a female passenger, the drivers tend to play inappropriate songs.

One individual further commented, “The unruly behavior of e-rickshaw operators is escalating in Lucknow, primarily due to the absence of proper registration for both the drivers and their vehicles. The major intersections are consistently congested, contributing significantly to traffic gridlocks. Confronting them often results in physical violence. Strikingly, a considerable number of these drivers are underage.

Another individual sarcastically stated, “The Olympics committee should award Indian women a Gold medal in boxing, they truly deserve it without a doubt.

In this land, there is a perception that men are no longer esteemed. It is believed that even when a woman is wrong, it is the man who will bear the consequences.
